Who we are

As experts in melanoma, we serve the entire melanoma community, including medical professionals, patients, carers and the general public. We provide vital information, guidance and support while commissioning and funding innovative research.

We have built a community of melanoma professionals who underpin our commitment to melanoma education and research.

What we do

  • We fund the only UK confidential Melanoma Helpline manned by leading clinical nurse specialists in skin cancer
  • We commission vital melanoma research for patient benefit
  • We create and publish educational, resources, reports and guidelines for clinicians, scientists and nurses
  • We involve experts and patients in the creation of trusted information including resources such as the Melanoma Stages and Treatment Patient Guide and guidelines for rare melanomas
  • We raise awareness of melanoma and its prevention
  • We have produced and maintain the Melanoma TrialFinder, a resource to support the understanding of melanoma clinical trials across the UK
  • Host the Melanoma Patient Conference, organised by our Trustee, Imogen Cheese where the latest advances in melanoma medicine is presented by experts to patients and carers
  • We organise the UK’s only multidisciplinary biannual, CME-accredited melanoma meetings for our healthcare professional colleagues
