Crissie’s 25km Ultra Challenge
On the 24th August Crissie completed the London Summer 25km walk and raised over £3,000 for Melanoma Focus! Crissie was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer during July 2023, she luckily caught it early and after recovering from her surgery she finally felt ready to take on a challenge! Hear more about why this challenge was so important to Crissie:
“Last July, I was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to catch it early (albeit with some horrible complications that mean I’m still under “watch”), but many many others are not so fortunate. Melanoma Focus is a remarkable charity dedicated to combating this deadly cancer. They focus on advancing research, raising awareness, and providing support to those affected by melanoma. Their work includes funding cutting-edge research projects, offering patient support services, and leading public health campaigns to promote early detection and prevention.”
