Roo’s Walk

Roo was all set to run this year’s Great North Run until she sadly dislocated her knee and unfortunately could not take part in the event.

However, this did not stop her continuing with her amazing fundraising efforts, she set herself an alternative challenge to walk 13.2 miles (the distance of the Great North Run). Her amazing friends and family rallied around and joined her throughout the distance, 17 additional walkers joined Roo’s fantastic challenge.

This walk was in memory of Roo’s lovely mum, Viv. She amazingly raised £1,040 and lots of awareness along the way.

We are beyond grateful to Roo and her super group of walkers. Their support means everything and enables us to continue our vital work.
