MelMarT-II Trial Recruitment Complete

September 2025

The Melanoma Margins trial (MelMarT-II), an international surgical melanoma trial has recruited its 3000th patient. It has achieved its target, and the study has now closed to recruitment; the results will be reviewed and recommendations about surgical margins will then be published.

This is an amazing achievement internationally and Melanoma Focus are proud to have supported this trial in the UK.

The contribution from 20 UK centres, recruiting nearly 630 patients, has been outstanding and reflects the commitment of patients, clinicians, and researchers to improving melanoma care worldwide.”
