£5,610 raised for Melanoma Focus through the Brian O’Donnell Charity Golf Day
A special day of golf and fundraising has raised an incredible £5,610 for Melanoma Focus, held in memory of Brian O’Donnell, who sadly passed away from melanoma in 2020.
We’re incredibly grateful to Sally O’Donnell, Brian’s wife, and his great friend, Tony Funnell, for continuing to raise vital funds for Melanoma Focus in Brian’s memory.
The memorial event took place at Dorset Golf Resort on Friday 21st August, bringing together friends, family, colleagues and supporters for a day of golf, friendly competition and fundraising.
The event included a charity raffle and silent auction, with everyone coming together to remember Brian while supporting a cause that was close to his family.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success, including those who: took part in the golf day, bought raffle tickets, bid in the silent auction, made a donation or helped spread the word.
We’re also incredibly grateful to Woodstock Legal Service for kindly sponsoring the event and supporting the fundraising.
Supporting those affected by melanoma
Funds raised through events like the Brian O’Donnell Charity Golf Day help Melanoma Focus continue its work supporting those affected by melanoma, providing trusted and accredited information and support through our skin cancer specialist nurse-led Melanoma Helpline, raising awareness and supporting research and education.
We’re hugely grateful to everyone who contributed to this fantastic total and helped keep Brian’s memory at the heart of the day.
