Tracy’s Ride London-Essex Challenge
On Sunday 26th May the wonderful Tracy completed the Ford Ride London-Essex 100 mile cycling challenge and raised over £1,000 for Melanoma Focus. Tracy’s father has had melanoma since September 2015 and witnessing his journey inspired her to take on this challenge.
Here Tracy explains why completing this challenge was important to her:
“I wanted to support a charity that offers support to patients and their families whilst also raising awareness of this awful disease. People don’t realise what an awful disease this particular cancer is and how, in the main, it is preventable.”
“When my friend suggested the Ride London challenge, I saw it as an opportunity to combine my long-standing desire to participate in a cycling event with supporting a cause that is deeply meaningful to me.”
