Melanoma Patient Conference 2025

“I truly felt the most supported that I have been in the last two years since my diagnosis. It felt like I was given a really warm ‘hug’ by everyone.”

Melanoma Focus were once again delighted to host and organise the Melanoma Patient Conference supporting the Founder, Imogen Cheese. This year’s conference took place over two days (Thursday 27^th February and Friday 28^th February) and was once again a hugely successful event supporting over 250 delegates and their guests.

“The speakers were wonderful; the hotel and food were perfect and the new people now in my life will bring such support.”

On the first evening of the conference our delegates and their guests were welcomed with a drink generously provided by MHForumlink. They had the opportunity to meet new people and talk to people in similar situations. They all enjoyed a three-course meal and a moving after dinner talk from our patron Sir Chris Bryant, he shared on honest account of his own melanoma diagnosis story.

On the second day of the conference our delegates were each given a goodie bag with amazing products from some very generous companies, including Popcorn Kitchen, Altruist, The Ginger People, Ultra Violette, Little Soap Company, Pip Organic,  Taylors Snacks, Peppersmith, Sainsburys, Weleda, Costco and La Roche Posay.

Throughout the day our delegates heard from a range of brilliant speakers covering talks on clinical trial updates, mucosal melanoma guideline updates, AI – Supporting the Diagnostic Pathway, the Impact of Scars and Reconstruction and Navigating Fertility.

We were also extremely fortunate to hear honest and open talks from melanoma patients and a family member, Charlotte Killeya and her son Joshua, Dr Suze Mellor and Jordan Moss. They each shared their own personal reflections, experiences, and inspiring stories.
